CDS works effectively yet secretively in a way that not many people really know its mechanism but the result is there.
However, for currencies without the constellation, it will not serve as a problem because more recently, they have moved to a more subtle security system known as the Counterfeit Deterrence System (CDS). It first made its appearance on the 10 Euro note but has since been found in other major currencies, expanding to more and more currencies as an anti-counterfeit measure. That’s right, for almost all major currency in the world, there’s one symbol on those currencies that will tell your photocopier that what it’s seeing is money. The answer actually has something to do with your money. How does a dumb machine know what it can copy and what it’s not supposed to? Is it equipped with AI? Does it have consciousness? Is there such thing as machine’s ethics and moral conduct? What’s going to happen is that it’ll copy the first few centimeters of your bank note and then it’ll stop copying and proceed with ejecting the paper. This is probably the only thing in the world your photocopier will not copy for you. We reserve the right to accept a copy request if we judge that the request would involve violation of copyright law.I don’t mean because it’s illegal, that’s obvious I mean you can’t physically copy money even if you have a photocopy machine by your side and all the time in the world to do so.

Libraries and archives are authorized to create a photocopy or other reproduction.
